Mr. Scherzer served as President/Principal of The Sigma Group—an environmental, civil engineering, and owners representative corporation—from its founding in 1991 until 2022. He currently serves as Executive Emeritus and a member of the Board of Directors.
Prior leadership
Prior to founding The Sigma Group, Dave served in various management roles for Chem Bio Corporation, including as President from 1986 until 1991. Established in 1974, Chem Bio included an environmental laboratory, a clinical laboratory, and mobile health screening services (including x-ray). With over 200 employees, Chem Bio provided laboratory services to a wide range of clients.
Experience areas
Dave has more than 45 years of experience in management and environmental compliance in the areas of industrial wastewater, hazardous materials (asbestos and lead), subsurface water and vapors, air emissions, environmental chemistry, brownfield redevelopment, and civil site engineering.
