Park Place Apartments
Park Place Apartments is a luxury urban student apartment building located in the desirable Milwaukee's East Side neighborhood. The project was driven by realization of the tremendous shortage of quality student housing options within close proximity of University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. UW - Milwaukee is the fastest growing university in the UW system. Its student body exceeds 28,000. Once completed it will be the only new luxury apartment building within walking distance of the campus. The building will feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, numerous Wi-Fi enabled lounge areas, enclosed parking garage and other attractive amenities. Our goal with the Park Place Apartments project is to set an example of a successful urban redevelopment project that meets the expectations of all stakeholders, including neighboring residents and the students of the nearby university campus.

1609 E. North Avenue
Wangard Partners’ most recent acquisition is the former 6,500 square foot Downer Garage located on the east side of Milwaukee. The firm plans to spend more than $1 million to renovate the building that sits on a 13,200 square foot lot. Wangard will add a new façade using new red brick, cream city brick and modern metal panels, in addition to building a green roof system. Retail tenants already have expressed interest in leasing space in the building. This stretch along North Avenue is one of the most vigorous corridors in town and will continue to attract development. The Downer Garage renovation is one of several new developments currently under construction in the neighborhood.

Wangard acquired 875 East Wisconsin in 2006 as part of the Tenant-In-Common program. Subsequent to the acquisition the Wangard team identified an opportunity to meet additional space requirements of the tenants in the 100% leased building and to enhance value of the acquisition by constructing a second tower over the parking structure of the original building. Wangard has been working closely with the architects, engineers and municipal and county officials to make this project feasible.
